Remove/Install Left Front Engine Support - AR22.10-P-4325LWA

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Deactivate easy entry and exit feature. Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205.### 1#, 253.### 2# with code 275 (Memory Package (driver's seat, steering column and mirror))  
2 Fix in place front wheels in straight-ahead position and steering wheel using holding device. Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205.### 1#, 253.### 1#

3 Perform power disconnect of high-voltage on-board electrical system. Engine 274.9 in model 205, 253 with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (incl. plug-in))

4 Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter.    
5 Drain off coolant. Engine 274.9 in model 205 AR20.00-P-1142LW

6 Remove starter-alternator (M1/10). Engine 264 in model 205, 253 with code B01 (48V technology) AR15.40-P-5060MRI
7 Release and disconnect high-voltage plug of electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5). Engine 274.9 in model 205, 253 with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (incl. plug-in))

8 Unclip high voltage line from bracket of charge air cooler and place to one side. Engine 274.9 in model 205, 253 with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (incl. plug-in))

9 Unclip ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) with bracket and place to one side with connected lines. Engine 264 in model 205, 253 AR07.08-P-1000MRI

10 Disconnect exhaust system between CAT and center muffler. Engine 274.9 in model 253 AR49.10-P-7283RF

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A
    Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.  
11 Remove coolant hose to heater cooler from bulkhead.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
12 Remove wiper arms. Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205 AR82.30-P-6100LW
13 Remove screw (1) from left engine mount (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205 Bolt, front engine mount to engine support *BA22.10-P-1001-03E 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Engine 264, 274.9 in model 253 Bolt, front engine mount to engine support *BA22.10-P-1001-03M 
14 Install engine support fixture and raise engine. Engine 264 in model 205, 253 AR01.10-P-2400-17MRI

    NOTES  
    Do not put lines and hose under tension. Otherwise damage will occur.  
    IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.

15 Remove steering coupling from steering shaft. Engine 264, 274.9 in model 205.### 1#, 253.### 1#  
    NOTES Do not turn steering wheel with steering coupling removed. AR46.10-P-8000LW
    The clock spring contact will otherwise be destroyed.  
16 Remove bolts (5) and remove left engine mount (2) downwards. Engine 274.9 in model 253 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) AR22.10-P-4330LWD

    IMPORTANT Comply with environmental protection regulations for the disposal of the front engine mounts. Dispose of front engine mounts in mixed scrap.  
    IMPORTANT Always replace front engine mounts in pairs.  
17 Remove bracket of electric line from electric refrigerant compressor (A9/5). Engine 274.9 in model 205, 253 with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (incl. plug-in))
