| 1 | Remove rear wheel | AR40.10-P-1102A | |
| 2 | Relieve pressure from air spring (4) using vehicle diagnosis system | ||

| 3 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 4 | Release fender liner at rear in area of electrical connectors (1) and push to one side | AR88.10-P-1400LWE | |
| 5 | Separate electrical connections (1) | ||
| 6 | Unhook electric lines (2) from holder and place to one side | ||
| 7 | Remove pressure line (5) from air spring (4) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs | Fig 4 | |
| 8 | Remove shock absorber (7) from spring link (6) and push outwards in lower area | AR32.25-P-0110LW | |
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector (3) | ||
| 10 | Unhook electrical line (8) from holder (9) | ||
| 11 | Carefully pull air spring (4) downwards by its upper plastic frame until the air spring (4) releases from the retaining clip | ||
| 12 | Remove air spring (4) downwards | ||
| 13 | Remove retaining clip | AR32.22-P-1500-02EW | |
| Check | |||
| 14 | Check condition of air spring (4) | Otherwise the movement of the spring will damage the spring bellows on the inside. If a problem arises ↓ Replace air spring (4). |

| Install | |||
| 15 | Install new retaining clip | AR32.22-P-1500-02EW | |
| 16 | Position the air spring (4) with the air spring centering (arrow) onto the spring link (6) | ||
| 17 | Position air spring (4) on retaining clip | Otherwise the air spring (4) may be damaged. |

| 18 | Hook electrical line (8) into holder (9) | ||
| 19 | Connect electrical connection (3) | ||
| 20 | Mount shock absorber (7) onto spring link (6) | AR32.25-P-0110LW | |
| 21 | Remove all stop plugs | ||
| 22 | Mount pressure line (5) to air spring (4) | Otherwise, leaks will occur. |
