DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant. Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained. AS83.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Drain air conditioning system   AR83.30-P-1760LW 
2 Remove horns   AR54.35-P-1555LWA
3 Remove screw/bolt (1) from heat exchanger (2)    
4 Detach heat exchanger (2) from fan unit (4) and hang to one side with lines connected    
5 Unscrew nut (7) from refrigerant line (6) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, line to condenser *BA83.30-P-1002-01Q 
6 Remove refrigerant line (6) from condenser (13)    
7 Remove sealing ring of refrigerant line (6)    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.0) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace seal. Moisten sealing ring with compressor oil. Premixed coolant (Specification 326.0). See https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/index.php?language_id=1
8 Seal refrigerant line (6) using a suitable stop plug SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
9 Unscrew nut (9) from refrigerant line (8) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, line to condenser *BA83.30-P-1002-01Q 
10 Remove refrigerant line (8) from condenser (13)    
11 Remove sealing ring of refrigerant line (8)    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.0) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace seal. Moisten sealing ring with compressor oil. Premixed coolant (Specification 326.0). See https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/index.php?language_id=1
12 Seal refrigerant line (8) using a suitable stop plug SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
13 Unlock and detach electrical connector (11) on pressure sensor (10)    
14 Drain coolant from low-temperature circuit   AR09.41-P-6834MNA
15 Remove condenser (13) with radiator (3) and low-temperature cooler (5) as a unit   AR20.20-P-3865MNA
16 Unclip low-temperature cooler (5)    
17 Unclip installation frame (12) with condenser (13)    
18 Unclip condenser (13) from installation frame (12)    
19 Use suitable stop plugs to seal condenser (13) SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Figure
20 Modify pressure sensor (10) When replacing the condenser (13).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Refrigerant pressure sensor to condenser
*BA83.30-P-1006-01Q 
21 Install new desiccant cartridge If required. AR83.30-P-6521LW 
22 Install in the reverse order
