Perform wheel alignment check - AR40.20-P-0200LF

MEASURING Measure     
1 Drive vehicle onto measuring station    
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS 000 588 13 21 00 Suspension measuring unit IMPORTANT The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz. WS40.00-P-0013B 
2 Switch off easy entry/exit IMPORTANT It is switched off using the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu on the multifunction display, see vehicle owner's manual.  
3 Open window in driver door IMPORTANT Preparations for checking steering lock.  
4 Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment   AR40.20-P-0260SX 
5 Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms    
6 Raise vehicle level and then lower again IMPORTANT To do so, press the switch on the center console. Raising and lowering the vehicle reduces play in the suspension.  
7 Insert brake pedal jack with adapter for brake pedal jack between the brake pedal and driver seat and close driver door IMPORTANT Protect brake pedal and driver's seat against any damage. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

8 Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust, if necessary   AR40.20-P-0301LF 
9 Attach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices   AR40.20-P-0230SX 
10 Fit on measuring heads IMPORTANT See corresponding operator's manual of manufacturer.  
11 Perform initial measurement IMPORTANT See corresponding operator's manual of measurement system.  
12 Checking rear axle camber IMPORTANT The camber on the rear axle is not adjustable. AR40.20-P-0331LF 
13 Adjust rear-axle toe According to results of initial measurement. AR40.20-P-0261LF 
14 Adjust camber and caster at the front axle According to results of initial measurement. AR40.20-P-0263LF 
15 Adjust front axle toe According to results of initial measurement. AR40.20-P-0264LF 
16 Check toe-out angle According to results of initial measurement. AR40.20-P-0325LF 
17 Perform final measurement IMPORTANT If the vehicle specified values are not achieved, operation steps 13 to 15 must be repeated.  
18 Detach measuring heads    
19 Detach Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices   AR40.20-P-0230SX 
20 Remove brake pedal jack tool with its adapter SPECIAL TOOL Adapter for brake pedal winch Fig 1

21 Lock turntables and sliding platforms    
22 Drive vehicle off measuring system    
23 Switch on easy entry and exit feature IMPORTANT It is switched on using the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu on the multifunction display, see vehicle owner's manual.  
24 Check headlamp adjustment
