Retrofitting portable CTEL - AN82.70-P-0002AE

MODEL 210.0 as of 1.7.00 up to 30.6.01 except CODE (852) CTEL preinstallation assembly at dome except CODE (855) TELE AID except CODE (819) 6-disk CD changer in trunk except CODE (273) Provision for portable CTEL GSM network in combination with D2B optical wave guide

REMOVING Removing

1 Connect quiescent current retention unit   *WH58.30-Z-1012-09A 
DANGER Risk of explosion  from gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  from caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
2 Disconnect ground cable of battery

3 Remove overhead control panel    
4 Remove radio    
IMPORTANT   Vehicles with code 750a, 753 or 756a. AR82.60-P-7502EB

5 Remove driver's seat    
6 Lift up floor lining    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.20-P-2050F
7 Open left cable duct    
8 Open rear compartment fuse box    
9.1 Remove center console IMPORTANT on installation in armrest.  
9.2 Remove center console cover IMPORTANT on installation on center console.

10 Remove rear seat and rear backrest    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR91.12-P-1700F
11 Remove paneling in trunk on left    
12 Remove paneling from left A-pillar    
13 Remove overhead control panel    
14 Detach headliner at rear IMPORTANT Applies for installation of roof antenna only.  
INSTALLING Install     
15 Retrofit fiber optic cable wiring harness   AN82.70-P-0002-01A 
16 Cover fiber optic cable NOTESDo not kink or stretch D2B fiber optic cable. 
IMPORTANT Install cover caps on fiber optic cable connector and equipment connection.

17 Retrofit telephone cable harness   AN82.70-P-0002-03AE 
18 Install hands-free microphone IMPORTANT Only if necessary.

19 Retrofit roof antenna IMPORTANT Only if necessary. AN82.70-P-8951-06A

IMPORTANT Part orders differ according to fitting location of mobile phone. Please agree fitting location with customer.    
20.1 Install mobile phone bracket in armrest

20.2 Install bracket for mobile phone (telephone) on center console

21 Install telephone interface IMPORTANT Install mobile phone.

22 Install E-net compensator    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.70-P-0010B
23 Reassemble vehicle, 14-1    
24 Carry out start-up and function test IMPORTANT Code telephone to vehicle using HHT. Reconfigure D2B ring components using Star Diagnosis. *WH58.30-Z-1036-13A
