Retrofit telephone wiring harness - AN82.70-P-0002-03AE

Model 210.0 as of 1.7.00 up to 30.6.01 

1. Prepare telephone wiring harness (2) and microphone wiring harness (3) as shown in figure.

2. Route wiring harness (2 and 3) along existing leads in vehicle as shown in figure.

3. Route CTEL wiring harness (2 ) starting at the trunk along existing leads in vehicle as shown in figure.

4. Connect brown lead to ground (left taillamp in trunk) (W6/1).

5. Route branch-off line to rear fuse box (F4).
6. Connect red/pink (rt/rs) lead, terminal 30 to fuse 15.

7. Solder blue/black (bl/sw) lead of wiring harness in wiring duct on left B-pillar to blue/black (bl/ sw) lead of optical wave guide wiring harness (1) with solder connector.

8. Route branch-off line from wiring harness (2) to roof antenna connector (A2/22x1) at left C-pillar and fasten in place using adhesive felt (arrow).

9. Route branch-off lines from wiring harness (2) to center console as shown in figure to cable duct below seat.

   When installing the portable CTEL holder in the armrest, the branch-off lines for the CTEL handset (A34) and handset transmitter and receiver connector (X39/5) remain in the lower center console area.

   When installing the portable CTEL holder at the right of the center console, the two branch-off lines must be routed to the radio recess. Depending upon the mounting console used, the branch-off lines are routed to the right below the installation console.

10. Route microphone wiring harness (3) from microphone separation point (X58/3) as shown in figure to the left A-pillar.

11. Route microphone wiring harness (3) along A-pillar to the overhead control panel.

    Tie back any excessive lengths in the left cable duct.
