REMOVING Remove     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  with caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

DANGER Injury Hazard!  Windshield wiper mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism. AS82.30-Z-0001-01A

1 Drain coolant

2 Connect quiescent current retention unit

3 Disconnect ground cable of battery

4 Remove heating water circulation pump (M13) IMPORTANT Part eliminated.

5 Remove wiper system

6 Remove pendulum support at brake master cylinder

7 Remove washer fluid hose (11) IMPORTANT Part eliminated.

8 Remove washer fluid reservoir (9) IMPORTANT Part discontinued except for code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.  
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR82.35-P-6000P
DISASSEMBLINGASSEMBLING Disassemble/assemble     
9 Remove switch of windshield washer system level indicator Except code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.  
10 Remove windshield washer fluid pump Except code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.  
11 Remove rear door pump Model 203.2
Except code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.
 
12 Remove all seals at washer fluid reservoir Except code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.  
13 Remove cap at washer fluid reservoir With CODE (600a) headlamp cleaning system
IMPORTANT Part eliminated.
 
14 Assembly is performed in the reverse order IMPORTANT Except code (600a) headlamp cleaning system: Washer fluid reservoir (9) new part.  
15 Install heater unit (8) NOTES Ensure cap is correctly fitted onto washer fluid reservoir (9).
IMPORTANT New part.
 
INSTALLING Install     
16 Install heating water circulation pump (M13) IMPORTANT New part.

17 Retrofit heated hose (10) and line (6) of windshield washer system   AN82.35-P-0001-01P 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Hose clamp pliers (length 210 mm; clamping range 6-12 mm). *WH58.30-Z-1018-02A 
    COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Hose clamp pliers (length 235 mm; clamping range 40 mm). *WH58.30-Z-1020-02A 
18 Install pendulum support at brake master cylinder

19 Install washer fluid reservoir (9) IMPORTANT New part except for code (600a) headlamp cleaning system.

20 Install washer fluid hose (11) IMPORTANT New part. Heated hose.

21 Reconnect ground lead to battery

22 Disconnect quiescent current retention device

23 Install wiper system

27 If changes made to equipment scope code or designation of relevant optional equipment enter subsequently on vehicle datacard and FDOK Code (875) heated windshield washer system.
