Modification notes

23.7.99	Bolted connection, shock absorber on lower wishbone modified		BT32.20-P-0002-01D
		New tightening torque incorporated, refer to work step 7.	*BA32.25-P-1003-01B

	Removing, installing
	The shock absorber with front spring does not have to be removed to remove/install the upper wishbone
Installation	Replace self-locking bolts and nuts
1	Remove front wheel
			AP40.10-P-4050Z
2	Remove lower engine compartment lining		AR61.20-P-1105AB
3	Detach bracket (22b) from torsion bar (22) on both lower wishbones (4)		*BA32.20-P-1001-02E
4	Pull rubber mount (22a) off torsion bar
5.1	Detach linkage for headlamp range adjustment (95b) from lower wishbone (4)	Right side (if fitted)
6	Press supporting joint (7) out of steering knuckle (5)		AR33.20-P-0440-01D

7	Detach shock absorber (11) from lower wishbone (4)	Shock absorber nut (11u) of wishbone	*BA32.25-P-1003-01B

8	Detach lower wishbone (4) from front axle carrier	Installation:  Observe installed position of adjusting rings Tighten new nuts slightly until they abut.
		Only tighten nuts when the vehicle is on its wheels ready-to-drive.	*BA33.20-P-1010-01A
9	Press supporting joint (7) out of lower wishbone (4)		AR33.20-P-0440-02D

	Checking
10	Check shock absorber mount on lower wishbone	If necessary after checking: ↓
		Replace shock absorber mount on lower wishbone.	AR32.25-P-0107D
11	Check front mount of lower wishbone (hydraulic bearing) for condition and leaks	If necessary after checking: ↓
		Replace front absorber mount of lower wishbone.	AR33.20-P-0526D
12	Check rear mount of lower wishbone	If necessary after checking: ↓
		Replace rear absorber mount of lower wishbone.	AR33.20-P-0527D
13	Press supporting joint (7) of steering knuckle mount	If necessary after checking: ↓	AR33.20-P-0425D
		Replace supporting joint	AR33.20-P-0440D
14	Check lower wishbone (4) for distortion and replace if necessary	Distortion e.g. identifiable by cracked paint.
15	Install in reverse order
16.1	Perform chassis alignment check	After installing new parts or after accident repair.	AR40.20-P-0200A
