Front Floor Covering

WARNING:
  • Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the driver-side air bag module.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION (US) .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Joint cover (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    2. Accelerator pedal (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN L (US))] .) (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN M (US))] .)
    3. Front seat belt lower anchor (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Front seat (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    6. Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    7. Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    8. B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    9. B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    10. Shift lever knob (MTX)
    11. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    12. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    13. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    14. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    15. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    16. Cup holder (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    17. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    18. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    19. Rear vent duct No. 2 (with rear vent duct) (See REAR VENT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    20. Rear vent duct No. 1 (with rear vent duct) (See REAR VENT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    21. Rear console bracket No. 1 (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    22. Shift lever component (MTX)
    23. Selector lever component (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    24. SAS control module
    25. 360° view monitor control module (with 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    26. Parking assist unit (optical) (with parking assist system) (See PARKING ASSIST UNIT (OPTICAL) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    27. Audio amplifier (See AUDIO AMPLIFIER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    28. Rear heat duct No. 1 (See REAR HEAT DUCT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
    29. Dashboard bracket (See DASHBOARD REMOVAL (US) .) (See DASHBOARD INSTALLATION (US) .)
  3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the wiring harness clip.

  4. Remove the nuts.

  5. Remove the rear console bracket No. 2.
  6. Remove the rear console bracket No. 3.
  7. Remove the wiring harness clips shown in the illustration.

  8. Remove the fasteners.
  9. Take the out from the door opening.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See FRONT FLOOR COVERING INSTALLATION NOTE .)
  11. Perform the 360° view monitor system aiming. (with 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING .)
