Installation [01/2017 - 06/2019]: Procedure
- INSTALL ENGINE HANGER
See step 84
- REMOVE ENGINE STAND
- Attach an engine sling device and hang the engine with a chain block.NOTE:
Pay attention to the angle of the sling device as the engine assembly or engine hangers may be damaged or deformed if the angle is incorrect.
- Lift the engine and remove it from the engine stand.NOTE:
With the exception of installing the engine assembly to an engine stand or removing the engine assembly from an engine stand, do not perform any work on the engine while it is suspended, as doing so is dangerous.
- Place the engine onto a work bench.
- Attach an engine sling device and hang the engine with a chain block.
- INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER
- INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR
HINT:
Only perform this procedure when replacement of the engine mounting insulator is necessary.
- Install the 2 front engine mounting insulators with the 2 bolts
Torque: 57 N.m (581 kgf/cm, 42 ft.lbf)
- Install the 2 front engine mounting insulators with the 2 bolts
- CONNECT FRONT FRAME CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Install the front frame crossmember sub-assembly to the engine assembly with the 2 nuts
Torque: 65 N.m (663 kgf/cm, 48 ft.lbf)
- Install the front frame crossmember sub-assembly to the engine assembly with the 2 nuts
- INSTALL FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

- CONNECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

- INSTALL NO. 1 EGR PIPE

- INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE
- Install a new O-ring to the engine oil level dipstick guide.
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring.
- Push in the engine oil level dipstick guide end into the guide hole.
- Install the engine oil level dipstick guide with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

- INSTALL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY
- Set the engine on an engine lifter.NOTE:
- Place wooden blocks or plate lift attachments so that the engine is level.
- With the exception of installing the engine assembly to an engine stand or removing the engine assembly from an engine stand, do not perform any work on the engine while it is suspended, as doing so is dangerous.
- Never install attachments to the oil pan of the engine assembly or transmission as doing so may deform the oil pan.
Place Wooden Block or Plate Attachments - Operate the engine lifter and install the engine and transmission assembly to the vehicle.NOTE:
Make sure that the engine is clear of all wiring and hoses.
- Install the engine and transmission assembly to the vehicle with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Bolt Nut Torque: 170 N.m (1734 kgf/cm, 125 ft.lbf)
- Install the rear engine mounting member with the 6 bolts.
Torque: 44.4 N.m (453 kgf/cm, 33 ft.lbf)
- Remove the 4 bolts and 2 engine hangers.
- Set the engine on an engine lifter.
- INSTALL NO. 2 GROUND WIRE
- CONNECT NO. 2 PARKING LOCK RELEASE CABLE ASSEMBLY
- Connect the parking lock release lever assembly cable end to the No. 2 parking lock release cable assembly cable end.
*1 Parking Lock Release Lever Assembly Cable End *2 No. 2 Parking Lock Release Cable Assembly Cable End - Attach the 2 claws and connect the cover to the No. 2 parking lock release cable assembly as shown in the illustration.
*1 Cover Arrow Connect
- Connect the parking lock release lever assembly cable end to the No. 2 parking lock release cable assembly cable end.
- INSTALL REAR LOWER ARM MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

- INSTALL REAR LOWER ARM MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedure as for the LH side.
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN STEERING KNUCKLE LH
- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN STEERING KNUCKLE RH
HINT:
Install the RH side following the same procedure as for the LH side.
- CONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
