Disassembly [08/2021 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clips to remove the back door trim upper panel assembly.

  5. REMOVE ROPE HOOK 
    1. Remove the rope hook as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BASE (w/ Power Back Door) 
    1. Using a moulding remover D, disengage the claws and guides to remove the back door trim base as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  7. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE (w/ Power Back Door) 
    1. Using a moulding remover D, disengage the claws and guides to remove the door pull handle as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
    2. Disconnect the connectors.
  8. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door) 

    See step  2

  9. REMOVE BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door) 

    See step  2

  10. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE (w/o Power Back Door) 
    1. Using a moulding remover D, disengage the claws and guides to remove the door pull handle as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the opposite side.

  11. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK COVER 
    1. Disengage the claws to remove the back door lock cover.

  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the claws and guides.

      NOTE:

      Removing the back door trim board assembly may cause damage, disengage the claws first.

    2. Using a moulding remover D with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the clips to remove the back door trim board assembly.

  13. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Power Back Door)

  14. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Power Back Door) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE REAR SPOILER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. REMOVE REAR WASHER NOZZLE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  17. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  18. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  19. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for Gasoline Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  20. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for HV Model) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  21. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PLATE 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the clips to remove the back door outside handle plate.
  22. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH (w/ Power Back Door) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  23. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH (w/o Power Back Door)

  24. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  25. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  26. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  27. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU (w/ Power Back Door) 

    See step  2

  28. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  29. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  30. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEIGHT 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the back door weight.
  31. REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER STOPPER CUSHION 
    1. Disengage the claws to remove the back door upper stopper cushion as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure described for the opposite side.

  32. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOWER STOPPER CUSHION 
    1. Remove the back door lower stopper cushion.

      Use the same procedure described for the opposite side.

  33. REMOVE NO. 1 AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  34. REMOVE NO. 5 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  35. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR WIRE

    *a Guide
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the ground wire.
    2. Disengage the clamps and guide to disconnect the No. 2 back door wire.
  36. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the wiring harness clamp bracket.
