Removal [09/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ] ).
    • If the DCM (telematics transceiver) has been replaced, perform the DCM Activation procedure using the Techstream (w/ Manual [SOS] Switch) (Refer to DCM ACTIVATION [09/2014 - 09/2017] ).
    • The safety connect device uses the DCM (telematics transceiver) to provide access to the network service.
    • The DCM (telematics transceiver) has a DCM ID (described on the label attached to the DCM (telematics transceiver)).
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] ).

  3. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2015 - ]

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2015 - ]

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 [10/2015 - ]

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2015 - ]

  9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [09/2014 - 10/2015] or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [10/2015 - ]

  10. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITHBRACKET 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and DCM (telematics transceiver) with bracket.

    2. Disconnect all the connectors.
  11. REMOVE TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and telephone bracket.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 TELEPHONE BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 1 telephone bracket.
