Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the front recovery hook if equipped. Refer to HOOK(S), TOW, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the lower load beam. Refer to LOAD BEAM, LOWER, REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the front stabilizer bar links. Refer to LINK, STABILIZER BAR, REMOVAL  .
  7. Remove the front hub nut. Refer to HUB AND BEARING, REMOVAL  .
  8. Remove the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. Refer to REMOVAL, OUTER TIE ROD .

  9. Remove the lower control arm to knuckle bolt (1) and remove the lower control arm (3) from the knuckle (4).
  10. Remove the halfshaft from the hub and bearing.
    NOTE:

    Properly support the halfshaft.

  11. Remove the lower control arm to cradle rear bolt (1).

  12. Remove the lower control arm to cradle front bolt (1), and remove the lower control arm from the vehicle.
