Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement (with HP2)

WARNING: Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
  • Identify how to disable high voltage.
  • Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
  • Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.

Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the hybrid high voltage system. Refer to High Voltage Disabling .
  2. Remove front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (without HP2) or Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (with HP2) .
  3. Remove rear seats. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe with HP2) or Rear Seat Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalde with Bucket Seat) .
  4. Remove the drive motor generator battery storage box. Refer to Drive Motor Generator Battery Replacement .
  5. Remove rear seat riser. Refer to Rear Seat Riser Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Riser Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) or Rear Seat Riser Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) .
  6. Remove the instrument panel center support bracket.
  7. Remove front floor console, if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Except Cadillac) or Front Floor Console Replacement (Cadillac) .
  8. Remove front center seat, if equipped. Refer to Front Center Seat Replacement .
  9. Remove front door sill plates. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  10. Remove rear door sill plates. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Standard Wheelbase) or Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement (Extended Wheelbase) .
  11. Remove front hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .
  12. Remove center pillar lower molding. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .

Procedure

  1. Route carpet openings on left and right over floor duct openings.
  2. Enable the hybrid high voltage system. Refer to High Voltage Enabling .
