Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
- No 1-2 shift/harsh/soft/slipping
  - Check the intermediate clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: Intermediate Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the forward clutch for a slipping condition. REFER to: Forward Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the low/reverse clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: Low/Reverse Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the low one-way clutch assembly for being seized. REFER to: Low One-Way Clutch Assembly .
- No 2-3 shift/harsh/soft/slipping
  - Check the direct clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: Direct Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the forward clutch for a slipping condition. REFER to: Forward Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the intermediate clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: Intermediate Clutch Assembly .
- No 3-4 shift/harsh/soft/slipping
  - Check the overdrive clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: Overdrive Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the forward clutch for a slipping condition. REFER to: Forward Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the direct clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: Direct Clutch Assembly .
- No 4-5 shift/harsh/soft/slipping
  - Check the direct clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: Direct Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the overdrive clutch for a slipping condition. REFER to: Overdrive Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the forward clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: Forward Clutch Assembly .
- No 5-6 shift/harsh/soft/slipping
  - Check the intermediate clutch for a does not apply condition. REFER to: Intermediate Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the overdrive clutch for a slipping condition. REFER to: Overdrive Clutch Assembly .
  - Check the direct clutch for an always applied condition. REFER to: Direct Clutch Assembly .
