Preliminary Procedures

Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe with HP2) or Rear Seat Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) or Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket Seat) .
Remove the rear seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) or Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .
Remove the rear seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Bucket) or Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade with Split Bench) or Rear Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) .

Rear Seat Recliner Bolt (Qty: 4)

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

Procedure

Note the routing of the recliner cables for installation.
Disconnect the recliner cables from the recliner assembly.
