Rear Seat Replacement (Tahoe with HP2)

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Rotate the rear seatback forward.
  2. Remove rear seat frame front finish cover. Refer to Rear Seat Frame Front Finish Cover Replacement (HP2) .
  3. Release the rear seat latch and rotate the seat forward.
1 Rear Seat Hinge Bolt (Qty: 4)

Procedure

  1. Note the position of the spring and bushings in the seat cushion frame for installation.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector, if equipped.
  3. With the aid of an assistant remove the bolts and lift the seat upward from the seat riser for removal.
  4. Transfer parts as needed.
2 Rear Seat Assembly
Tip:  The rear seat is being removed while leaving the seat riser in the vehicle to eliminate the need for disabling the hybrid battery.
3 Rear Seat Hinge Bushing (Qty: 8)
4 Rear Seat Hinge Spring (Qty: 4)
