Replace wheel bearings

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to LOOSENING THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM THE WHEEL BEARING .
- Refer to RELEASING THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BRAKE DISC .
- Use the special tool 2 472 903 or 5 A47 6E6 for unscrewing and tightening the spherical-collar screws.

Secure component against falling.

- Release spherical-collar screws (1) with the special tool 2 472 903
.
For access to the spherical-collar screws (1), press the output shaft (2) slightly to the side.
- Remove wheel bearing (1).

Keep the connection between the wheel bearing and the swivel bearing clean and free of oil and grease.

- Clean contact surfaces (1).
- Replace the wheel bearing (1).
Parts: Wheel bearing
- Position the wheel bearing (1) on the swivel bearing.
- Replace the spherical-collar screws (1).
Parts: Spherical-collar screw
- Tighten the spherical-collar screws (1) crosswise using the special tool 2 472 903
.
For access to the spherical-collar screws (1), press the output shaft (2) slightly to the side.
