Installing the electromechanical steering gear

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the track rods or the electromechanical steering gear .
Holding the electromechanical steering gear by the track rods can damage the track rods or the electromechanical steering gear .

Hold the electromechanical steering gear only by its housing.

When installing the steering gear, push the line clip (2) a little to the top so as not to damage the plug connection.
Install/position the electromechanical steering gear (3) with the help of an assistant.
Renew screws (1) .

Only position all the screws (1) .

Tighten the screws of the electromechanical steering gear in the marked order from (1) to (3) .

Be sure to follow the tightening sequence!

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Electromechanical steering gear to front subframe
M12 Renew screw.	Tightening torque Angle of rotation	100 Nm 90°
