Install the control unit for the steering wheel electronics

An incorrectly connected ground connection of the control unit for the steering wheel electronics can lead to serious malfunctions of the contact detection and the driver assistance systems.
An incorrectly connected ground connection of the control unit for the steering wheel electronics can lead to serious malfunctions of the contact detection and the driver assistance systems.
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Position the control unit (1) for the steering wheel electronics.
- Connect and lock all connectors (arrows).
- Connect and lock the connector (2)
for the ground connection.
The connector must be fully inserted in order to avoid malfunctions of the contact detection and driver assistance systems!
- Check that the connector (2) for the ground connection has a firm fit.
- Perform the functional check of the fanfare horn.
