Remove the front multifunctional frame
NOTE:

Failure to comply with the specifications for closing the hood.
Paintwork damage on the A-pillar, scratches or flaking of the paint.

- Mask off the hood at the corners.
- Let the hood fall maximum 30-40 cm when closing it.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To ensure the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, the component may only be repainted in compliance with the following instructions:
No stickers or films (transparent or colored) may be affixed in the transmission areas of the radar sensors.
If there are no radar sensors fitted, the component may be painted.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning lamp is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT SECTION OF THE FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE NUMBER PLATE BASEPLATE FOR THE FRONT LICENSE PLATE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE RADIATOR GRILLE FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT ORNAMENTAL GRILLE/RADOME .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT BUMPER COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT HEADLIGHT .
- Detach the wiring harness (1)
from the multifunctional frame (3)

Unlock plug connections and disconnect.
- Release screws (2) .
- Guide the multifunctional frame (3) upward out of the lower ball hubs and remove it.
