Removing the radiator grille frame
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Failure to comply with the specifications for closing the hood.
Paintwork damage on the A-pillar, scratches or flaking of the paint.

- Mask off the hood at the corners.
- Let the hood fall maximum 30-40 cm when closing it.
Preliminary work
- Refer to MOVING THE HOOD TO THE SERVICE POSITION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE NUMBER PLATE BASEPLATE FOR THE FRONT LICENSE PLATE .
- Remove trim (1)
to the front using special tool 0 493 681 (64 1 020)

- Loosen screw (1) .
- Remove expanding rivet (2) .
- Bend rubber seal (1) slightly to the rear and release detents (2) .
- Release and remove radiator grille frame (3) to the front from all the detents.
