- Mask off the hood at the corners.
- Let the hood fall maximum 30-40 cm when closing it.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To ensure the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, the component may only be repainted in compliance with the following instructions:
No stickers or films (transparent or colored) may be affixed in the transmission areas of the radar sensors.
If there are no radar sensors fitted, the component may be painted.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning lamp is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

- Before disconnecting the vehicle battery, it is essential to deactivate the high-voltage system via the high-voltage service disconnect in BEV and PHEV vehicles.
- All work on the high-voltage system may only be carried out by specially trained and technically experienced personnel. For additional information, see:

- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the bumper cover (1) at the snap-in lugs (2) with a suitable screwdriver.
- Carefully release the bumper cover (1) from the detents in the area of the dotted line.
- Pull bumper cover (1) forward carefully and, if necessary, unlock and disconnect additional plug connections.
- Remove bumper cover (1) towards front.
