When replacing the rear seat backrest frame

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING REAR SEAT BENCH .
• Refer to REMOVING BOTH BACKREST SIDE SECTIONS .
• Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND CENTER REAR SEAT BACKREST .
• Refer to REMOVING THE RIGHT REAR SEAT BACKREST .
• Refer to REMOVING BACKREST COVERING WITH CUSHION FOR REAR SEAT .

Remove the rear panel from the rear seat backrest 

• Unclip the edge stripping of the backrest cover with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) along the broken line (2).
• Remove the rear panel (1).

  Removing the head restraint 

• Loosen screws (1).
• Remove the head restraint (2) of the rear seat backrest frame (3).

  Installing the head restraint 

• Position the head restraint (2) correctly at the rear seat frame (3).
• Tighten the screws (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Head restraint to backrest frame
  Screw Replace screw	tightening torque	18 Nm

  Install the rear panel on the rear seat backrest 

• Position the rear panel (1).
• Clip the welt of the backrest cover in with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) along the broken line (2).
