Remove the acoustic cover of the oil sump

- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

- Detach battery terminal from battery pole by carefully shifting to and fro. Do not pry off using a tool.

- DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- BRINGING FRONT COMPARTMENT LID IN THE SERVICE POSITION .
- REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
- REMOVING THE COVER OF THE REAR RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- REMOVING THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE HOOD SEALS .
- REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- REMOVING TOP CLEAN AIR PIPE .
- REMOVING THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER .
- PARTIALLY RELEASING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT SPRING STRUT .
- REMOVING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT WHEELS .
- REMOVING THE COVER OF THE STEERING ASSEMBLY ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
- REMOVING THE REAR SECTION OF THE WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT .
- REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- REMOVING THE UNDERBODY PROTECTION OF THE STEERING GEAR AND THRUST FIELD RESPECTIVELY .
- REMOVING THE CENTER UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- REMOVING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- REMOVING THE WHEEL ARCH COVER ON THE FRONT LEFT AND BOTTOM RIGHT .
- INSTALLING THE TORSION STRUT LEFT AND RIGHT .
- REMOVING THE UNIVERSAL JOINT ON THE STEERING GEAR .
- MOVE THE ENGINE TO THE INSTALLATION POSITION .
- DETACHING THE WIRING HARNESS OF THE EPS FROM THE FRONT AXLE SUPPORT .
- IF INSTALLED: REMOVING THE SILENCER OF THE STATIONARY HEATING .
- REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKE VENTILATION DUCT .
- LOOSENING THE ANTI-ROLL BAR LINK ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT FROM THE ANTI-ROLL BAR .
- RELEASING THE BRAKE HOSE AT THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT .
- IF INSTALLED: DISCONNECTING THE PLUG CONNECTIONS OF THE ACTIVE STABILIZER .
- PREPARING THE MOBILE TABLE LIFT .
- POSITIONING THE MOBILE LIFTING TABLE .
- DETACHING THE TOP LEFT AND RIGHT WISHBONE FROM THE SWIVEL BEARING .
- DETACHING THE LEFT AND RIGHT SPRING STRUT FROM THE WISHBONE ON THE BOTTOM .
- REMOVING CRASH LEVERS LEFT AND RIGHT .
- RELEASING THE SCREWS ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT AXLE SUPPORT .
- LOWERING FRONT AXLE SUPPORT .
Precondition
Disconnect all negative battery cables.
- Unlock and release the plug connection (1).
- Loosen nut (2).
- Guide the positive battery cable (3) out of the clamp (4) and lay to one side.
- Unlock and loosen the clamps (1).
- Guide out the wiring harness section for the automatic transmission (2) and set it aside.
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Loosen screw (1).

- Loosen the holder (1).
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Feed out the transmission oil lines (1) from the holder (2) and place to one side.
- Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
- Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
- Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
- Undo Christmas tree clip (2).
- Guide out and remove acoustic cover (1) of the oil pan.
