Removing the defrost outlet
- Pull off the defrost outlet (1) towards the rear from the detents.
Remove tweeter in the dashboard
- Unthread the cable of the tweeter from the guide (arrowed).
- Unlock and disconnect the connector (1) and put it aside.
- Disengage the tweeter together with the holder (2) upwards from detents (3).
- Tilt and unthread the treble loudspeaker upwards using the holder (2) on the left.
Remove air ducts from the dashboard
- Unlock detents (1) and push the air ducts (2) down.
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release air duct (2) from the detents (3).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Release air duct (2) from the detent (3).
- Loosen the cable clip (1).
- Loosen adhesive tape (2).
- Release screws (3) and remove the air ducts (4) from the dashboard.
- Release air duct (2) from the detents (1).
- Thread out air duct (2) and remove from dashboard (3).
Removing front passenger airbag

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

Airbag unit

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Loosen screw (1).
- Release the air duct (2) from the detents (3) and remove it.NOTE: Depending on the build version, the screw may be in position 1 or position 5 .
- Release the screw (1) or (5).
- Disengage the connector housing (2).
- Shift the front passenger airbag (3) in the direction of the arrow and remove it from the dashboard (4).
Removing the glove compartment damper
- Disconnect the connector (1).
- Remove the retaining pins (2) outward.
- Twist the glove compartment damper (3) approx. 45° counterclockwise and remove.
Remove glove box lid
- Pull out and remove the hinge bolt (1) from the hinge.
- Thread out and remove glove box lid (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Turn the cover (2) above the instrument combination (KOMBI) in the direction of the arrow to release it from the clamps.
Correctly mount the cover (2) on to the new part and tighten the screws (1).
- Remount any present cables on the new dashboard trim.
- Remount any existing small parts.
Install glovebox cover
- Feed in the glove box lid (2).
- Install the hinge bolt (1) and engage.
Installing the glove compartment dampers
- Install the glove compartment damper (3) and twist it about 45° clockwise.
- Mount the retaining pin (2).
- Connect plug (1).

- Position the front passenger airbag (3) on the dashboard (4) and shift in direction of arrow.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The screw connection of the front passenger airbag is always done independent of the previous attachment point on the vehicle exterior , refer to position 1 . - Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Front passenger airbag to dashboard Oval-head screw tightening torque 2 Nm - Position the connector housing (2) and engage.
- Position the air duct (2) and engage at the detents (3).
- Tighten down screw (1).

Installing the air ducts in the dashboard
- Insert the air duct (2) in the dashboard (3) and correctly position.
- Engage the air duct (2) at the detents (1).
- Correctly position the air ducts (4) in the dashboard and tighten the screws (3).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Air duct to bracket Screw tightening torque 1.8 Nm - Secure with adhesive tape (2).
- Secure the cable clips (1).
- Engage the air duct (2) at the detents (3).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Air duct to bracket Screw tightening torque 1.8 Nm - Engage the air duct (2) at the detents (3).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Air duct to bracket Screw tightening torque 1.8 Nm - Push the air ducts (2) upwards until the detents (1) lock.
Installing the tweeter in the dashboard
- First, feed in tweeter with the holder (2) slightly tilted to the right side.
- Position tweeter correctly with the holder (2) and engage at the detents (3).
- Insert the cable of the tweeter into the guide (arrow).
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
Installing the defrost outlet
- Feed in the defrost outlet (1) and lock on the detents.
