Installing the headlining (with sliding/tilting sunroof) (lowered)

Precondition 

The front seats have been fully adjusted towards the bottom.

The front seat backrests have been fully adjusted towards the rear.

The rear seat backrest is folded down toward the front.

• Check the clips (1)  on the headlining for damage.

  Defective or missing clips (1)  must be replaced.

• Check the clamps (2)  along the dashed line for damage.

  Defective or missing clamps (2)  need to be replaced.

• Insert the headlining (1)  with the help of an auxiliary person onto the respective edge protection.
• Clip in headlining (1)  on the clips (2)  .
• Clip the headlining (1)  in the area of the dotted line at the slide/tilt sunroof unit and the clamps (3)  .

• Tighten the screws (1)  on the headlining (2)  .
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Headlining on frame
  Oval-head screw	tightening torque	1.5 Nm

• Refer to INSTALLING THE LEFT AND RIGHT B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL PARTIALLY .
• Refer to INSTALLING INTERIOR ROOF LIGHT .
• Refer to INSTALLING ROOF FUNCTION CENTER (FZD) .
• Refer to INSTALLING THE SUN VISORS AND COUNTER SUPPORT ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT .
