51 46 000 Removing and Installing/Replacing Trim For Rear Parcel Shelf

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove trim panels for roof pillar at rear (C-pillar) left/right. See 51 43 255 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR REAR LEFT OR RIGHT ROOF PILLAR (FRONT)
Remove trim on C-pillar at bottom left/right. See 51 43 230 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM ON C-PILLAR AT BOTTOM LEFT OR RIGHT
Remove ski bag cover See 52 25 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE ARMREST FOR REAR SEAT BACKREST
Remove decorative strip on parcel shelf. See 51 46 009 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING DECORATIVE STRIP FOR ODDMENTS TRAY (BACK SHELF)
Remove speaker at rear left/right. See 65 13 180 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR SPEAKER BOX (IN REAR SHELF)
Remove ventilation grille See 63 25 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ADDITIONAL STOP LIGHT

Version without electric rear seat adjustment

Remove backrest for rear seat. See 52 24 015 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BACKREST FOR LEFT OR RIGHT REAR SEAT (NORMAL)

Version with electric rear seat adjustment

Unclip cover on rear seat backrests at top. See 52 25 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR SEAT
Remove rear head restraints See 52 25 390 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR HEAD RESTRAINT

E67 with roller sun blind only:

Additional work depending on optional extras

Version with roller sun blind only:

Unfasten screws.

Tightening torque 51 46 3AZ. See 51 46 PARTITION PANELS

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 46 1AZ. See 51 46 PARTITION PANELS

IMPORTANT:

Version with roller sun blind:

Disconnect plug connection before removing parcel shelf (2).

Remove parcel shelf (2) towards front.

Replacement with roller sun blind version:

Unscrew nuts.

Tightening torque 51 46 2AZ. See 51 46 PARTITION PANELS

Replacement with roller sun blind version:

IMPORTANT: Carefully feed cover (1) out and in as there is a risk of bending.

Feed out cover (1) downwards.

Remove roller sun blind.

Installation:

Before feeding cover (1) in, only secure roller sun blind with nuts.
