51 46 009 Removing and Installing/Replacing Decorative Strip For Oddments Tray (Back Shelf)

00 9 317

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Release seat belt at rear middle bottom. See 52 25 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR SEAT and 72 11 102 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ALL REAR SEAT BELTS

If necessary, unclip decorative strip (1) with special tool 00 9 317 in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Clip inserts must not be damaged, replace if necessary.

Build date from 02/2005:

Additional clip inserts are fitted in area (A).

Unclip seatbelt finisher strip towards front.

Feed out strap with seatbelt finisher strip through opening in decorative strip.

Replacing seatbelt finisher strip:

Feed out seatbelt finisher strip.

Replacement up to build date 02/2005:

NOTE: Pins (2) must be removed if a new decorative strip (1) with eight pins is fitted to cars with six clip inserts.

Saw off pins (2) with special cutter and max. 63 mm dia. saw blade until flush.
