Ribbed Belt Drive Overview

  1. Ribbed Belt 
    • Check for wear
    • Before removing, mark the direction of rotation using chalk or a felt-tip pen.
    • Removing and installing, refer to RIBBED BELT 
    • Do not kink
    • When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the ribbed belt pulleys
  2. Bolt 
    • Replace
    • 20 Nm plus an additional 90° turn
  3. Shim 
    • Replace
  4. Idler Roller Cover 
  5. Generator 
    • Removing and installing, refer to the appropriate service information
  6. Bolt 
    • For the correct tightening specification, refer to the appropriate service information
  7. Idler Roller Cover 
  8. Bolt 
    • 23 Nm
  9. Idler Roller for Ribbed Belt 
    • On the generator bracket
    • Pay attention to the installed position
  10. Bolt 
    • 40 Nm
  11. Generator and Idler Roller Bracket 
  12. Bolt 
    • 23 Nm
  13. Right Idler Roller for Ribbed Belt 
    • Pay attention to the installed position
  14. Left Idler Roller Cover 
  15. Bolt 
    • 23 Nm
  16. Bolt 
  17. Ribbed Belt Pulley for Coolant Pump 
  18. Bolt 
    • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 2
  19. Coolant Pump 
  20. Left Idler Roller for Ribbed Belt 
  21. Bolt 
    • 23 Nm
  22. Idler Roller Holder 
  23. Bolt 
  24. Power Steering Pump 
  25. Power Steering Pump Ribbed Belt Pulley 
  26. Bolt 
  27. Gasket 
    • Replace
  28. Bracket for Assemblies 
  29. Bolt 
    • 40 Nm
  30. Bolt 
    • Tightening specifications, refer to the appropriate service information
  31. A/C Compressor 
    • Do not remove or disconnect refrigerant lines
    • Removing and installing, refer to the appropriate service information
    • Be careful of the alignment sleeves -item 32- when installing
  32. Alignment Bushing 
    • 2 pieces
    • Make sure the accessory assembly bracket fits correctly
  33. Bolt 
    • 23 Nm
  34. Ribbed Belt Tensioning Damper 
  35. Bolt 
    • Replace
    • 50 Nm plus an additional 90° turn
  36. Vibration Damper with Ribbed Belt Pulley
