Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

Bolt
- 6 Nm
- Attached to the intake manifold
Guide Tube
- For the oil dipstick
- Secured by a bolt to the intake manifold
Cylinder Block
- Crankshaft. Refer to OVERVIEW - CRANKSHAFT .
- Piston and connecting rod. Refer to OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD .
O-Ring
- Replace
- Coat with oil before assembly
Oil Pump
- It is necessary to remove the transmission in order to remove the oil pump.
- Oil Pump, Removing and Installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Chain Sprockets
- For the timing chain
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Install the camshaft adjuster with camshaft drive timing chain. Refer to CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- 60 Nm + ¹ /₄ (90°) additional turn
- Replace
Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Insert with locking compound
Seal
- Replace
- Coat with oil before assembly
Oil Spray Jet
- For crankshaft bearings 2 through 7
- For piston cooling
- Opening pressure: 2.0 bar (29.01 psi)
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OIL SPRAY JETS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Seal
- Replace if damaged
- Coat with oil before assembly
Oil Intake Pipe
- Clean the screen if there are debris
Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Insert with locking compound
Oil Pipe
Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Insert with locking compound
Baffle Plate
Oil Drain Plug
- 30 Nm
- With permanent sealing ring
- Replace
Oil Pan
- Clean sealing surface before installing
- Insert with Silicone Sealant:D 176 501 A1
- Removing and Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-
- To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester Wiring Diagram.

Oil Filter Housing
- Overview - Oil Filter Housing. Refer to OVERVIEW - OIL FILTER HOUSING/OIL PRESSURE SWITCH .
Bolt
- 23 Nm
Oil Pressure Switch
- Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester Refer to OIL PRESSURE AND OIL PRESSURE SWITCH, CHECKING .
Seal
- Replace
- Coat with oil before assembly
