- Seal Installer Set - Rear Differential 3066 (spindle)
- Thrust Pad 3124 (the seal and sleeve are in two pieces)
- Slide Hammer-Complete Set VW 771 (the seal and sleeve are a single piece)
- Additional Part for VW 771 VW 771/37 (the seal and sleeve are a single piece)
- Thrust Piece T10148 (the seal and sleeve are a single piece)
- Transmission Housing
- When replacing: adjust the input shaft and differential, refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
- Needle Bearing
- For the output shaft.
- Removing, refer to REMOVING THE NEEDLE BEARING .
- Installing and securing, refer to INSTALLING THE NEEDLE BEARING .
- Oil Fill Plug
- 35 Nm
- The transmission fluid level cannot be checked by removing the oil fill plug.
- If the transmission was disassembled, it must be filled before being installed again.
For the correct capacity refer to CODES LETTERS, TRANSMISSION ALLOCATION AND CAPACITIES .
- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the output shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to OUTPUT SHAFT .
- When replacing: adjust the input shaft, refer to OUTPUT SHAFT, ADJUSTING .
- Adjusting Shim
- For the output shaft.
- Adjustment overview, refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW .
- Adjusting Shim

- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the input shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to INPUT SHAFT .

- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the input shaft.
- Removing and installing, refer to INPUT SHAFT .

- Needle Sleeve

- Alignment Sleeve

- Clutch Housing

- Guide Sleeve
- With the seal for the driveshaft and vulcanized O-ring.
- Removing the seal, refer to REMOVING THE SEAL FROM THE GUIDE SLEEVE .
- Installing the seal, refer to INSTALLING THE SEAL ALL THE WAY INTO THE GUIDE SLEEVE .
- Remove the guide sleeve to replace the seal.
- Replace the guide sleeve and O-ring if the O-ring is damaged.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Seal
- Removing and installing, refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, SEAL AND SLEEVE, TWO PIECE .
- Sleeve
- For the seal -item 14-.
- Removing, refer to PRYING OUT THE SLEEVE -ARROW- .
- Installing, refer to INSTALLING THE SLEEVE .
- Seal and Sleeve (One-Piece)
- If the seal is damaged, then replace both the seal and sleeve.
- Removing, refer to REMOVING THE SLEEVE AND SEAL .
- Installing, refer to INSTALLING THE SLEEVE AND SEAL .
- Oil Drain Plug
- 35 Nm
- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the differential.
- Removing and installing, refer to DIFFERENTIAL .
- When replacing: adjust the differential, refer to DIFFERENTIAL, ADJUSTING .
- Magnet
- Held in place by the housing joint surface.
- Oil Catch Tray
- Install the oil catch tray into the transmission housing, refer to INSTALLING THE OIL CATCH TRAY INTO THE TRANSMISSION .
- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- For the differential.
- Removing and installing, refer to DIFFERENTIAL .
- When replacing: adjust the differential. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL, ADJUSTING .
