Disassembly [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    When removing parts with double-sided tape applied, heat the portion of the parts with tape residue with a heat light if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Metal parts 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Resin parts 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SHUTTER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE FRONT TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Panoramic View Monitor System)

  6. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR

  7. REMOVE FRONT CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  8. REMOVE FRONT CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the front center ultrasonic sensor retainer.
  9. REMOVE FOG LIGHT UNIT LH (w/ Fog Light) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. REMOVE FOG LIGHT UNIT RH (w/ Fog Light) 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

      *a Tape *b Flange
      1. Insert a 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit into a drill.
      2. Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

        Standard Measurement

        A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) - -
        NOTE:

        Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

      3. Lightly press the drill against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 3 rivets.
        WARNING:

        Be careful of the drilled rivets, as they may be hot.

        NOTE:
        • Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
        • Prying the rivets with the drill may damage the rivet installation holes or drill bit.
      4. Detach the guide and remove the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.
  44. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER NO. 1 RETAINER BRACKET 
    1. Use the same procedure described for the front bumper No. 2 retainer bracket.
  45. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER MOUNTING BRACKET

      *a Tape *b Flange
      1. Insert a 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit into a drill.
      2. Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit 5.0 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip as shown in the illustration.

        Standard Measurement

        NOTE:

        Tape the 6.0 mm (0.236 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

      3. Lightly press the drill against the rivets to drill off the rivet flanges, and remove the 3 rivets and front bumper mounting bracket.
        WARNING:

        Be careful of the drilled rivets, as they may be hot.

        NOTE:

        • Prying the rivets with the drill may damage the rivet installation holes or drill bit.
    2. Use the same procedure for the other side.
