HINT:
Use the same procedures for all assist grip sub-assemblies.
- Insert SST into the cutout of the assist grip cover as shown in the illustration.
- SST: 09813-00010
*a Cutout NOTE:To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to insert SST straight into the cutout.
- Pull SST as shown in the illustration to disengage the claw.
*a 30 to 45° Remove in this Direction NOTE:To prevent the assist grip assembly from being damaged, make sure to only pull SST as shown in the illustration.
- Remove the assist grip cover.
HINT:
Use the same procedures for the opposite side.
- Insert SST into the cutout of the assist grip cover as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

Use the same procedures for the all assist grip assemblies.
- REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER LH
- REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER RH

- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
- Disengage the clamps.
- Disconnect the 5 connectors.
- Disengage the guides as shown in the illustration.
Remove in this Direction - - - As shown in the illustration, tilt the roof headlining assembly, and while bending it slightly, remove it from the vehicle through the rear door.NOTE:
Remove the roof headlining assembly without wrinkling it.
- Remove the 3 clips from the body.
- Disconnect the 2 connectors.
