Removal [08/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019]
- REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Raise the handle, detach the 4 guides and remove the No. 2 deck board sub-assembly.
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX
- REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.
- REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Detach the 5 clips and remove the No. 1 deck board sub-assembly.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 4 bolts and deck board reinforcement sub-assembly.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD BRACKET
- Remove the 2 bolts and deck board bracket.
- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
- for Manual Seat:

- REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- Detach the 9 claws and remove the front door scuff plate RH.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
- Remove the clip.
- Detach the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board RH.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE LOWER COVER RH
- Detach the 2 clips and 5 claws, and remove the rear seat cushion hinge lower cover RH.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE LOWER COVER LH

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 1 COVER
Protective Tape - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear floor step No. 1 cover.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear floor step No. 1 cover.
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR STEP NO. 2 COVER
Protective Tape - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear floor step No. 2 cover.
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.

- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
- REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
- Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
- REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.
- Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
- Detach the claw and remove the front pillar garnish RH.
Protective Tape - - *1 Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly *a Protective Cover Adhesive Tape Protect the curtain shield airbag.
- Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.
- Thoroughly cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

- REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 assist grip plugs.
- Remove the 2 bolts and assist grip.
- Remove the bolt.
- Detach the clip and guide.
- Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish, and remove the center pillar garnish RH.
Protective Tape - -
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

Use the same procedure for both sides.
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE
- Detach the 5 clips and 4 claws, and remove the rear floor mat support plate.
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH
- Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Protective Tape Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clips.
- Detach the 11 clips.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the quarter trim panel assembly RH.
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
- Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Protective Tape Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clips.
- Detach the 11 clips.
- Disconnect the connector and remove the quarter trim panel assembly LH.
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)
- Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Protective Tape Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clips.
- Detach the 11 clips.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the quarter trim panel assembly RH.
- REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat)
- Detach the 3 claws and remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Remove the bolt and outer lap belt anchor.
Protective Tape Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the cover.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 clips.
- Detach the 2 clamps and remove the wire harness.
- Detach the 11 clips and 2 clamps.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors and remove the quarter trim panel assembly LH.
- REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH
Protective Tape - REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

- Using a moulding remover B with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover RH.

- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Illumination)
- Remove the 3 screws and visor assembly RH.
- REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Illumination)

Protective Tape HINT:
Use the same procedure for both sides.
- Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.
- Detach the 2 clips and remove the assist grip sub-assembly.
- REMOVE ASSIST GRIP PLUG
*a Servive Notch Protective Tape - Insert a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, into the service notch and break off the cap.
- Detach the clip and remove the assist grip plug.
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM COVER LH
- Using a moulding remover D, detach the 6 claws and remove the roof headlining rear trim cover LH.
- REMOVE REAR VIEW INNER MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/ EC Mirror)

- REMOVE NO. 1 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER (w/ Lane Departure Alert System)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the washer hose and amplifier antenna.
Disconnect the 3 connectors.
- Detach the 3 clamps and remove the roof wire.
- w/ Lane Departure Alert System:
- w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:
Disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Detach the 4 clamps and remove the amplifier antenna.
Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the bolt and amplifier antenna.
- w/o Illumination:
Remove the screw and visor holder.
HINT:
Use the same procedure to remove the visor holder on the other side.
- Detach the clip and 14 fasteners.
- Remove the washer hose and the roof headlining assembly.
Take out the roof headlining assembly from the cabin as shown in the illustration.
