Removal [08/2015 - 08/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).

  3. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID 
    NOTE:

    Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

  4. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2017] ).
  5. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the check valve.
  6. DISCONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the 2 brake booster connectors from the brake booster.
  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17

  12. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  13. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN 
    1. Remove the clip and push rod pin.
  14. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 nuts, and then pull out the brake booster.

    2. Remove the brake booster gasket from the brake booster.
    3. Loosen the lock nut and then remove the clevis.
  15. REMOVE BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY
