Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - 10/2015] or PRECAUTION [10/2015 - ] ).

    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - ] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 10/2015] or INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - ] ).

  3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 10/2015] or REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] )

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 and PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 and PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  8. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  9. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 and PROCEDURE - Step 14

  11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 and PROCEDURE - Step 15

  12. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  15. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  16. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  17. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  18. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46

  19. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET BRACKET LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 and PROCEDURE - Step 30

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Remove the screw and No. 1 console box mounting bracket from the lower shift lever assembly.

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 and PROCEDURE - Step 35

  22. REMOVE LOWER SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the lower shift lever assembly.

    3. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the lower shift lever assembly.
    4. Disconnect the 2 clamps from the lower shift lever assembly.

      *b Transmission Control Switch Connector
    5. Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.
    6. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.
    7. Remove the 4 bolts and lower shift lever assembly from the shift lever support.

  23. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever support from the body.
