Installation [08/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 guides to install the instrument panel sub-assembly.
    2. Connect each connector and attach the clamps and claws.
    3. Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf) 

    4. Install the bolt labeled A.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    5. Install the 6 bolts <E> and nut <F>.

  2. INSTALL 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU NO. 2 (for 4WD) 
    1. for VF2A:

      Install the 4 wheel drive control ECU No. 2.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    2. for VF2CM:

      Install the 4 wheel drive control ECU No. 2.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

    3. for VF4BM:

      Install the 4 wheel drive control ECU No. 2.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 clips, 4 claws and 3 guides to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
  6. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 2 clips, 3 claws and 3 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.
  7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 4 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
  8. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  9. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Connect 2 connectors.
    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 2 screws <B>.
  10. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System) 
    1. Connect 3 connectors.
    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 2 screws <B>.
  11. INSTALL RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKETS 
  12. INSTALL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Attach the 10 clips and guide to install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 3 screws <B> and 2 bolts <C>.
  14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR COVER 
    1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the instrument panel box door cover.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for all the instrument panel box door covers.

  15. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER LH 
    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the lower instrument cover LH.
  17. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 3 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  18. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  19. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector and hood lock control cable assembly.
    2. Attach the 13 clips and 2 guides to install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 2 bolts <C>.
    4. Attach the 2 claws to close the cover.
  20. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  21. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 7 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  22. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Attach the 6 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 2 switch hole base.
  23. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector and cooler thermistor.
    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.
  24. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

  36. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2022 - ]

  37. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2019 - ]
