Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 5 pins.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Clamp *2 Pin
    2. Install the 2 bolts <A> and 2 nuts <F>.

      Bolt <A> 

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Engage each clamp.
    4. Connect each connector.
  2. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  3. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ECU  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  4. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  5. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
  7. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Engage the 12 claws to install the No. 1 speaker hole cover.

  8. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 
    1. Engage the 2 clips.
    2. Install the lower center instrument panel finish panel with the 2 screws <E>.
  9. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX 
    1. Engage the 2 claws.
    2. Install the front console box with the 2 nuts <F> and screw <E>.
  10. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the console box assembly with the 2 bolts <D> and 2 screws <E>.
    2. Connect each connector.
  11. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET 
    1. Install the console box carpet.
  12. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 10 clips to install the upper console panel sub-assembly.
    3. Engage the 6 claws to install the upper console box.

  13. INSTALL SEAT HEATER SWITCH (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the seat heater switch.

  14. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 5 claws to install the position indicator housing assembly.

  15. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the shift lever knob clockwise to install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    1. Engage the claw, 2 clips and 3 guides to install the instrument side panel RH.
  17. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH 
    1. Engage the 3 claws and clip.
    2. Install the lower instrument panel finish panel RH with the bolt <B> or <C> and 4 screws <E>.
  18. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 4 claws and 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
  20. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 
  21. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 6 claws to install the No. 4 instrument panel register assembly.
  22. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
  23. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and 3 guides to install the instrument side panel LH.
  24. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  25. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 7 claws and 4 clips.
    3. Engage the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.
    4. Connect the hood lock control cable.
    5. Install the lower instrument panel finish panel LH with bolt <B> or <C> and screw <E>.

    6. Close the cover as shown in the illustration.
  26. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
  27. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
  28. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.
  29. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  30. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 claws.
    2. Install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel subassembly with the 2 screws <E>.
  31. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 8 clips to install the instrument panel sub-assembly.
  32. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE (w/o Smart Key System) 
    1. Install the instrument panel finish plate.
  33. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Engage the 2 clips to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  34. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect each connector.
    2. Engage the 9 claws and 2 clips to install the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  35. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL WITH NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  36. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Navigation System)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  37. INSTALL CENTER UPPER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 
    1. Engage the 10 clips to install the center upper instrument cluster finish panel.

  38. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
  39. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  40. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  41. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE 
  42. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  43. INSTALL STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  44. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  45. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  46. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  47. INSPECT STEERING PAD 

    Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

  48. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
