Problem Symptoms Table

Use the table below to help find the cause of each problem. The numbers indicate the priority of the likely cause of the problem. Check each part in order. If necessary, replace these parts.

5. Pad is cracked or distorted (for front) INSPECTION 
6. Pad is cracked or distorted (for rear) INSPECTION 
7. Piston is stuck (for front) DISASSEMBLY 
8. Piston is stuck (for rear) DISASSEMBLY 
9. Piston is frozen (for front) DISASSEMBLY 
10. Piston is frozen (for rear) DISASSEMBLY 
11. Booster push rod clearance is out of adjustment REMOVAL 
12. Vacuum check valve INSPECTION 
13. Vacuum leaks in the booster system ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
