Parking Brake Cable: Removal

HINT:

Replace the parking brake cable assembly No.2 using the same procedures as for the parking brake cable assembly No.3.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
2. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH  (See REMOVAL )
3. REMOVE REAR DISC 
4. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION SPRING  (See DISASSEMBLY )
5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT LH  (See DISASSEMBLY )
6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE  (See INSPECTION )
7. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
8. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
9. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX UPPER 
10. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER 
11. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
12. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO. 4  (See REMOVAL )
13. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3 
    1. Remove the clip and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.3 from the parking brake equalizer.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the parking brake cable assembly No.3 from the backing plate.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and nut as shown in the illustration, then remove the parking brake cable assembly No.3.

    4. Remove the clamp from the parking brake cable assembly No.3.
