Rear Seat: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the cushion assembly rear seat.
    1. Remove the bolt.
    2. Remove the hook (a) by pushing it back while lifting the front side of the rear seat cushion.
    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the cushion assembly rear seat.

  3. Take out the mat rear floor.
  4. Remove the backrest assembly rear seat.
    1. Tilt the backrest assembly rear seat forward.
    2. Remove the clips on the back mat of the rear seat.

    3. Turn over the cover rear seat backrest to remove the bolts.

    4. Remove the backrest assembly rear seat.
  5. Remove the cover side sill front Rr and the cover side sill front Ft. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>LOWER INNER TRIM>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the weather strip body side flange front. Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>WEATHER STRIP>REPLACEMENT .
  7. Remove the trunk trim panel side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>TRUNK ROOM TRIM>REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the trim panel assembly quarter and the trim panel assembly C pillar rear. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR QUARTER TRIM>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the bolts, and then remove the hinge assembly.

  10. Remove the trim panel assembly rear shelf. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR SHELF TRIM>REMOVAL .
  11. Remove the trim panel assembly trunk front.
    1. Release the clips and claws, and remove the trim panel assembly trunk front LH.
    2. Release the clips and remove the trim panel assembly trunk front RH.

  12. Remove the bolts, and then remove the striker assembly backrest.
