Rear Quarter Trim: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Tilt the front seat backrest assembly forward, and move the front seat all the way forward.
  3. Remove the cushion assembly rear seat and the backrest assembly rear seat. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the cover side sill front Rr and the cover side sill front Ft. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>LOWER INNER TRIM>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the weather strip body side flange front. Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>WEATHER STRIP>REPLACEMENT .
  6. Remove the trunk trim panel side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>TRUNK ROOM TRIM>REMOVAL .
  7. Release the clips and claws, and then remove the trim panel assembly quarter.

  8. Remove the cover lid.
    CAUTION: Do not remove the cover lid by holding the part (a). Doing so may cause the clip sheet to come off.

    1. Release the claws.

    2. Disconnect the claws, and then remove the tether clips and cover rivets as a unit.

  9. Release the bolts and clips, and then remove the trim panel assembly C pillar rear.

  10. Release the bolts and clips, and then remove the trim panel assembly C pillar front.
