	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Lower, position
1	Remove covering over engine
2	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100SR
3	Remove underfloor paneling
4	Remove rear axle crossmember		AR35.15-P-0250SR
5	Remove control arm		AR35.15-P-0204SR
6	Remove front engine mount on transmission housing, unfasten of the body side and swivel downwards		AR22.10-P-4330SR
7	Unhook rear muffler (1) from the right elastomer bearing (2)
8	Remove bracket (4) with ground line (3)
9	Unclip coolant hoses (5) from bracket (6)
10	Unclip hydraulic line (7) for clutch operation from bracket (8) and unfasten from the body	Engine 281 in model 453 with transmission 700.12
11	Unclip vacuum lines (9) from the brackets on the body
12	Remove screw/bolt (10) and detach positive line (11) from the body
13	Unclip fuel line (12) from the brackets on the body
14	Remove cable tie (13) from engine wiring harness
15	Remove air intake hose (14)
16.1	Remove shift cables from transmission	Engine 281 in model 453 with transmission 700.12	AR26.60-P-6626SR
16.2	Remove cable for selector lever lock from transmission	Engine 281 in model 453 with transmission 700.41	AR27.60-P-0002SR
17	Unhook fuel tank bleed valve (Y58) at the body
18	Unclip electrical line (15) for fuel tank bleed valve (Y58) on air filter housing
19	Unfasten nuts (16) for engine mount (17, 22)	Do not unscrew nuts (16) for engine mount (17, 22) completely. The engine may fall down otherwise. Nut, engine mount to bearing pin	*BA22.10-P-1004-01H
20	Attach engine support fixture		AR01.10-P-2400-06SR

21	Remove engine mounts (17)		AR22.10-P-1101SR
22	Remove engine mounts (22)		AR22.10-P-1102SR
23	Place flange (18) for drainage pin on the threaded pins of the engine mount flange and tighten nuts (19) finger-tight	Lowering bolts	Fig 1
24	Screw piston (20) of the drainage pin onto the engine support bearing pin
25	Tighten piston (20) of the drainage pin at the knurled knob (21) finger-tight
26	Raise vehicle with the vehicle lift in stages until the piston (20) of the drainage pin has moved completely into the flange (18) and the engine hangs free	When lifting onto hose, watch out for lines and detachable parts. They can be damaged otherwise. Helper required.
27	Remove engine support fixture		AR01.10-P-2400-06SR
