Dimensional accuracy of connecting rods bearing caps (1) can no longer be guaranteed after opening, therefore new connecting rods must be fitted after removal. Engine damage can occur otherwise! The connecting rods are delivered with assembly bolts and have to be replaced by connecting rod bolts (3) with an assembly locking element. This avoids loosening. |
