Remove/install belt pulley/vibration damper - AR03.30-P-1600CMG

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
1	Remove front engine cover and both engine air intake ducts upstream of the air filter	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.
2	Remove fan shroud	Model 204	AR20.40-P-5050CW

3	Remove poly-V belt		AR13.20-P-0001CMG
4	Attach guard plate for radiator/condenser

5	Remove center bolt (2)	The center bolt (2) should always be replaced. To set the rotation angle, make two guide marks on the counterholder (1). Use extension.

6	Detach belt pulley/vibration damper (3) from crankshaft	The groove on belt pulley/vibration damper (3) must engage in feather key of the crankshaft.
	Checking
7	Check contact surface of the crankshaft radial sealing ring at the hub of belt pulley/vibration damper (3)	Check for scoring and galling, and replace belt pulley/vibration damper (3) if necessary.
8	Replace front crankshaft radial sealing ring	Only when replacing belt pulley/vibration damper (3) or in the event of leaks at crankshaft radial sealing ring.	AR03.20-P-3000CMG
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Check engine oil level and adjust if necessary

	Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. 11	Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks
