Remove/install belt drive components - AR13.20-P-0001CMG

	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Remove engine air intake duct and front engine cover	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift it off vertically toward top. The retaining lugs could break off otherwise.
2	Remove bottom engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105EW
3	Loosen poly-V belt (1) and remove		AR13.22-P-3902-02AMG
3	Loosen poly-V belt (1) and remove	To do this, turn the hexagon (3) counterclockwise and lock the poly-V belt tensioning device (6) with a drift pin (4) (5 mm dia.). Fit on and poly-V belt (1) as per routing diagram and tension. Do not use belt wax or similar products.	AR13.22-P-3902-02AMG

4	Check profile of belt pulley and poly-V belt tensioning device (6) for damage and soiling
5	Check poly-V belt (1) for wear and damage; replace if necessary

	Carry out operation steps 7 and 8 only if removing/installing the poly-V belt tensioning device (6)
7	Remove screw/bolts (5) and poly-V belt tensioning device (6)	Screw/bolt, poly-V belt tensioning device to timing case cover	*BA13.25-P-1001-01U

8	Check poly-V belt tensioning device (6) for damage and soiling; replace if necessary
9	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
