Remove/install power steering pump - AR46.30-P-0500EWL

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.   AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system    
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000EW
2 Remove front engine cover IMPORTANT Pull the front engine cover upward and out of the mountings.  
3 Remove the left engine intake air duct    
4 Remove coolant hose from holder on oil-water heat exchanger Engine 273  
5 Remove power steering expansion reservoir   AR46.25-P-1000EWL 
6 Remove poly-V belt   AR13.20-P-0001EWS
7 Remove front and center section of engine compartment paneling   AR61.20-P-1105EW
8 Detach refrigerant compressor from cylinder crankcase IMPORTANT Place refrigerant compressor to one side with lines connected. AR83.55-P-5300EW
9 Disconnect electrical connector on power steering pump (2)    
10 Detach pressure line (1) from power steering pump (2) IMPORTANT Collect escaping oil with rags and seal connections immediately.

11 Unscrew bolts (2s) and remove power steering pump (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1001-01T 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1008-01T 
12 Install in the reverse order    
13 Fill and bleed power steering pump (2)   AR46.30-P-0010EW
