Replace complete side roof paneling - AR65.10-P-1020EW

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage used for electric welding. Risk of explosion  caused by welding in the area of highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  caused by welding splatter and UV light while welding. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling welding fumes. Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extractor system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

1 Remove all detachable parts in area to be repaired    
2 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle with fire-resistant welding protection blanket Welding protective blanket
 
 
3.1 Remove center roof paneling Except code (413) Panoramic glass roof with top sliding roof AR65.10-P-1000EW 
3.2 Remove panoramic roof frame Only on model 212.0/1 with code (413) Panoramic glass sunroof with top sliding sunroof AR77.21-P-0800SX
4 Remove rear glass cover Only on model 212.1 with code (413) Panoramic glass sunroof with top sliding sunroof AR77.21-P-7015EW
5 Remove side roof paneling (1) Model 212.0/1 AR65.10-P-1020-01EW

INSTALLING Install     
DANGER Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling vapors or swallowing adhesive. Risk of injury  caused by adhesive coming into contact with skin and eyes Wear respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety glasses. Pour adhesive into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. AS00.00-Z-0016-01A
7 Install side roof paneling (1) and weld in Model 212.0/1 AR65.10-P-1020-03EW

Multifunction device (spot welding)

Vice grip pliers (standard)

8 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flanges with rotary wire brush Round wire brush

10 Clean repair area Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
 
 
11 Remove welding protection blankets IMPORTANT On all covered parts remaining in vehicle.  
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
12 Prime repair area with primer filler IMPORTANT Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG.

13 Carry out seam sealing after repairs Model 212 AR97.10-P-4000EW

18 Install all detachable body components in area to be repaired.
