Remove/install rear glass cover - AR77.21-P-7015EW

REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by fingers being pinched or crushed  when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, liftgates or sliding roof Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
NOTES Notes on removal/installation of windows   AH67.10-P-1000-02RT
    IMPORTANT The rear glass cover (1) cannot be removed in a non-destructive manner and must therefore always be replaced  
1 Measure and note height of rear glass cover (1) in relation to rear window (3) and front glass roof (2) IMPORTANT These dimensions are required for installation.  
2 Prepare adhesive cartridge IMPORTANT Heat up adhesive cartridge for at least 20 min.
Cartridge heater
 
Repair kit, installing windshields, 1-component adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1135-02A 
3 Remove antenna   AR82.70-P-8951EW
4 Install drip rail on panoramic roof   AR88.80-P-4000EW
5 Cut off weatherstrip (4) on rear glass cover (1) with suitable knife IMPORTANT Cut off weatherstrip (4) only at rear.  
6 Cover side roof paneling with adhesive tape    
7 Fold lip over at top of rear window (3) and fasten with suitable adhesive tape (5).    
DANGER Risk of injury  due to tear or warming up of cutting wire and through glass splinters when cutting out glued windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A
8 Cut out rear glass cover (1) with cutting wire and remove from vehicle IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.

INSTALLING Install     
9 Prepare body flange for glazing rear glass cover (1)   AR77.21-P-7015-02EW 
Wet/dry vacuum cleaner  
Repair kit, installing windshields, 1-component adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1135-02A 
10 Prepare rear glass cover (1) for installation   AR77.21-P-7015-03EW 
Suction lifting device  
Repair kit, installing windshields, 1-component adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1135-02A 
11 Apply adhesive material to rear glass cover (1)   AR77.21-P-7015-04EW 
"Pressofix" cartridge gun  
Repair kit, installing windshields, 1-component adhesive *BR00.45-Z-1135-02A 
12 Install rear glass cover (1) NOTES Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried sufficiently
(approx. 2 h), otherwise, the strength of the adhesive joint is not ensured.
IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.
After installing and before aligning the rear glass cover (1), remove adhesive tape (5). Observe dimensions noted when aligning.
Careful installation of the detachable parts is possible after approx. 30 min.
